John’s practice focuses on general civil litigation.

Prior to joining Turner Padget, John represented people who suffered injuries throughout North and South Carolina. Now, he uses his litigation experience to represent insurance companies and corporations.

During law school, John was an active member of several student organizations. He also held several clerk positions throughout his law school tenure with the South Carolina Department of Corrections and the Joint Citizens and Legislative Committee on Children. John graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law a semester early in December 2020.

John believes that when a client relies on his expertise to assist in resolving a matter, he owes the client a duty to exceed their expectations. He prides himself on being a zealous advocate for the interests of his clients and excels in making himself available to clients in times of need regardless of the complexity of the matter. 

  • Managed litigation caseload by completing discovery, taking/defending depositions, and mediating cases.
  • Conducted legal research on various areas of personal injury and employment law.
  • Developed cases by reviewing investigative findings, police reports, and medical records.
  • Drafted and filed legal pleadings, briefs, and memorandums.
  • Drafted and argued motions at motions hearings.
