Robert believes the best way to serve his clients is to be a versatile problem-solver that is competent in a variety of disciplines.

Underscoring that versatility, Robert serves his business clients in both litigation and transactional matters. On the litigation side, he is an aggressive but disciplined litigator who has experience both pursuing and defending claims against business litigants. He has litigated cases in many different substantive areas, including bankruptcy, contract law, business torts, real estate, maritime law, and corporate dissolution. Outside of the courtroom, Robert also handles intellectual property matters, simple estate planning, immigration petitions, and real estate closings.

Situated in the Augusta office, Robert’s practice leads him to work with attorneys and clients across three states: Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. He considers his practice area to be from Atlanta to Charlotte and everything in-between, including and especially his home state of South Carolina. He believes that a commitment to versatility and serving institutional business clients requires today’s generation of attorneys to be well-versed in the law of multiple jurisdictions.

Robert also offers his services to emerging businesses through the firm’s Palmetto Propeller program and to indigent defendants in the Southern District of Georgia through the CJA program. He believes these experiences have made him a more well-rounded practitioner of the law.

Robert was born and raised in Lexington, South Carolina, and he lived out his childhood dream by attending and graduating from Clemson University. He graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law and now resides in North Augusta.

Outside of the office, Robert enjoys weightlifting, cooking, cheering on his Clemson Tigers, and soaking up the sun.
