Sharon Bramlett is a highly regarded attorney with a distinguished career in banking and finance, commercial and real estate transactions and consumer financial services regulation. She represents purchasers, sellers, and lenders in the acquisition, sale, and financing of a wide range of properties, including manufacturing facilities, medical office buildings, shopping centers, hotels, manufactured housing parks, short line railroads and mixed-use developments. Her experience also extends to advising homeowners’ associations, landlords, and tenants, including the drafting of South Carolina compliant commercial and residential lease forms and negotiating commercial leases. Sharon frequently serves as local counsel in multi-state real estate and commercial finance transactions, providing strategic guidance and legal opinions for clients. She was recognized by SCBiz Magazine for her real estate achievements, ranking No. 2 in South Carolinaout of the 28 Attorneys selected for inclusion in the 2022 Real Estate Attorneys Power List.

Sharon is widely recognized for her knowledge in financial services regulation law. She advises in-state and out-of-state lenders on compliance with the South Carolina Consumer Protection Code and other regulatory matters affecting the lending industry. She has served as the South Carolina editor for Houselaw and Carlaw, national publications focused on the consumer finance industry and she was appointed by three South Carolina Governors to serve on the Council of Advisors on Consumer Credit, a select group advising the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs on matters affecting the consumer finance industry.  She currently serves as Chairman of that Council, a position she has held since June of 2007.

Her leadership in the legal profession is reflected in her long-standing service to the South Carolina Bar. She played a key role in drafting the State Report on Opinion Practice in South Carolina as a member of the Legal Opinion Ad Hoc Committee of the Corporate, Banking, and Securities Law Section. She also held leadership positions within the South Carolina Bar, including serving as Secretary, Vice- Chair, Chair Elect, Chair and Section Delegate to the Corporate, Banking, and Securities Law Section and as a member of the Task Force on the Unauthorized Practice of Law in Commercial Transactions. She also served as a Council member for the Consumer Law Section and as a member of the Judicial Qualifications Committee of the South Carolina Bar.

Her work has earned her numerous accolades, including recognition in Best Lawyers in America for Real Estate Law, Banking and Finance Law, Financial Services Regulation Law and Commercial Finance Law. She has been honored by Best Lawyers in America as Lawyer of the Year, Columbia, SC, for Financial Services Regulation Law five times.

Committed to community service, Sharon served as President of the Palmetto Center for Women (2012-2014) and was recognized by Palmetto Center for Women as a recipient of the TWIN Tribute to Women in Industry Award in 2014 and as Volunteer of the Year in 2013.  She worked for almost a decade with homeless women at Transitions Homeless Shelter and was recognized for that work as Transitions Co-Volunteer of the Year in 2019 and by The United Way of the Midlands with its Community Impact Award in 2018.
